The dull weather did nothing to dampen the spirits of the Umgeni Waterfall Bowling Club's league teams who set out to win their fixtures on Saturday. Well done to the ladies who beat Howick; the men in the Third League who beat Hilton and the men in the Mini-League who beat Wanderers.
Last Wednesday the winners of the Halfway Toyota/Giovision Competition were Colin Burden, Pat Ciro, Alan Wells and Barry Fairbrother all of whom went home with a chicken donated by Greendale Spar.
The next competition, sponsored by J Leslie Smith, will be held on Wednesday, 26 November. Visitors are welcome. Tabs must be in by 13.45 for play to commence at 14.00.
Friday Twilight Bowls followed by a light meal and lucky draw has seen a slow start but as the weather warms up and daylight lasts longer, it is hoped that more bowlers will come along and join us. Tabs must be in by 15.15 for play to commence at 15.30.
