What a wonderfully busy week this has been with a tabs in competition on Wednesday and an all day tournament on Sunday.
The competition on Wednesday was sponsored by Halfway Toyota Howick and prizes were presented to the winners and the runners up by Margie Wheelwright. The worthy winners were Ray Bester, Ted Smith and Colin Joosten. The runners up were Tony Gage, Alan Pienaar and Pat Ciro.
Sunday's tournament was played in excellent weather and teams from various clubs participated and thoroughly enjoyed the day which was sponsored by J Leslie Smith & Co Inc. The overall winners were John Beeching, Harry Pratt and Allan Peech of Collegians. Second prize went to Clive Wills, Kevin Wylie and Doug Butler of Lynwood and third prize went to Barry Bedworth, Clark Logan and Jo Boonzaier of Umgeni Waterfall. The Plate event was won by Dave Truscott, Lionel Keeling and Barry Fairbrother of Umgeni Waterfall . We thank Christine Speirs and Crystal Dellar of J Leslie Smith for joining us after the game and presenting the prizes.
Thanks is extended to all members who contributed to the success of the day, to PnP Fairways for their donation towards costs. Your help is appreciated and valued.
Funds raised by the Spider will be donated to Howick Hospice.
