St. Joseph's Preschool was recently the venue for a series of workshops on Basic Counselling Skills led by Judy Zingel of Amber Valley. Judy is a professional psychologist who responded to the community’s need for the training of volunteers to become good listeners.
Four two-hour sessions focused on theory and practical interactions among the 14 participants who ranged in age from 30 -80 years old. The success of the gatherings will be seen in the growth of healing in Howick households, neighbourhoods and beyond.
