Every Friday afternoon our committed veterinary team, headed by Dr Daniela Steckler, provides primary veterinary care to an average of 50 dogs from the local community. Free rabies and deworming is given in addition to minor ailments being attended to. More serious cases are taken to Midlands Veterinary Hospital who generously give us discounted rates.
The Funda Nenja clinic has played a big role in improving the quality of life for Mpophomeni dogs as it is the only service provider in the township. Without this facility many dogs would suffer or die due to a lack of access to veterinary care.
