Matilda is back on the road, and this weekend we headed to Stanger to do a 3 day steri clinic for #SablesCreatures. It is so nice to have everything we need, in it's place in Matilda, including water, a fridge for vaccines and power.
We did 2 days of dog steri's, where 28 dogs were sterilised, 22 of them were females and all of them except one had had puppies. Most of them were tricky surgeries as the uterus gets very friable when it has been used a lot. Thanks for all the help from the Sables volunteers, in lifting heavy dogs and holding scared dogs for their premeds.
We then had 24 cats booked for Sunday, but unfortunately some people cancelled last minute and so we only did 17. We were quite excited to have a short day and get home in daylight and have a relaxed afternoon......but. The N3 freeway had other plans and we sat at a standstill in traffic for about 2 hours!! We got home just as it was getting dark.
Thank you to Seema and her team for another well organised clinic.
